Terms and Conditions

The fixed price boiler repairs all you pay is the £139 plus the cost of the parts at the manufacturer's recommended retail price or less you will not be charged for collection of parts.

*Exclusions for the fixed price repair include any repair that requires the boiler being removed from the wall, the flue and or the flue system, Hot water cylinder tanks and immersion heater elements repair or replacement, And any repairs that the engineer may deem the Boiler Beyond Economical repair for safety or Economical reasons,

It also Excludes power flushing or de-scaling of the boiler or system.

Fairfix ltd will automatically dispose of any defective parts removed by our engineers during the works unless specifically requested by the customer.

No responsibility will be held for any damage caused to locksmithing or carpentry works.

It is the responsibility of the customer to protect items of furniture furnishings

Fixtures and fittings

We will make reasonable efforts not to cause damage. It is suggested that the customer remove items that is considered to be a problem. If items remain within the working area

It is the responsibility of the customer to cover such items.

Wallpaper and paintwork can sometimes be damaged. It is the responsibility of the customer to take any protective actions felt necessary.

The customer is to obtain all necessary permissions from any landlord or local authority prior to starting the work.

220/240v should remedial work be needed. An electricity supply is often needed. The customer is to provide this supply and also a suitable standard outlet reasonably near to the work. This supply will be of no cost to us.

Fairfix ltd shall take every care while carrying out works, however the price does not include renewing flooring or incidental decoration subsequent upon the proper execution of the work In particular the customer shall be responsible for all floor coverings, including carpets and lino. It is not always possible to avoid minor damage but Fairfix ltd will make every effort to keep this to a minimum. Fairfix ltd shall not be responsible for lifting and relaying of hardwood flooring or floor boards.

In the event of cancellation of agreed works by the customer, handling charges for materials ordered could be incurred, which will be met by the customer.

Fairfix ltd guarantees that all materials supplied by the engineer will be of merchantable quality and will be fit for the particular purpose for which they are purchased.

Fairfix ltd will make good any defects due to bad workmanship and repairs or replace any defective materials or goods supplied provided that any defects are brought to our notice within twelve months.

If any repair alterations, or additions to the equipment, installation and or apparatus this company has worked on is carried out by others not associated with Fairfix ltd, this could affect your guarantee.

Any defects or deficiencies found in the existing building or system which require to be attended to for satisfactory completion of the work,or to satisfy statutory requirement not specifically referred to in the cost shall be the responsibility of the customer. If the customer arranges for any part or the whole of such work to be carried out by Fairfix ltd it shall be subject to a separate cost or be charged as an extra on a time and materials basis.

Fairfix ltd will make good any defects due to bad workmanship and repairs or replace any defective materials or goods supplied provided that any defects are brought to our notice within twelve months of completion of the work.

The installation work will be tested during progress and on completion for soundness and safety. Any other tests required by the customer will be charged for as an extra to the quoted price, in the event of an appliance or installation being classed as At risk or Immediately dangerous a flat fee of £80 Will be chargeable to cover the costs for making the appliance safe issuing a warning notice and reporting it to gas safe and the HSE if necessary.

Any consequential loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by any defects in any articles or materials not manufactured by Fairfix ltd except in case of negligence or breach of contract.

Fairfix ltd shall make every endeavour to carry out the work within the period stipulated, or if no period is stipulated within a reasonable time but shall not be responsible for any delay, loss or damage arising out of any cause beyond his control. Because of changes in design or modifications by the manufacturers or through lack of availability the contractor may not be able to supply the equipment originally specified. In such an event he shall be regarded as satisfactorily completing the contract if he supplies with the agreement of the customer a satisfactory and reasonable alternative item and the price shall be adjusted accordingly.

Fairfix ltd labour charges are set as agreed when booking online before commencement of works.

Any plumbing connection joined or made onto existing lead pipework are not guaranteed in any form until it is such that the lead pipe is completely replaced with copper or plastic pipework.

Where it has been necessary to turn off an existing stopcock to carry out plumbing or heating repairs or works, Fairfix ltd will not guarantee, repair or replace any existing stopcock used to isolate the mains water, if for any reason it should leak or let water by.

Fairfix ltd shall also not be liable for any damage caused by such leaks.

Payment shall become due on the completion of the works, unless otherwise agreed.

These conditions of contract will apply in full to all quotations and work carried out (and) apparatus or equipment supplied by Fairfix ltd and its Representatives.

Any making good will be to a builders finish, plasterboard, or wood finish or sand and cement. It does not include painting or decorating.

Any licence, permit or other authority necessary for the execution of the work shall be obtained by the customer. The customer shall also be responsible for obtaining and retaining any necessary consents, easements and wayleaves and for any reinstatement work.

The price quoted is strictly net and is based on current costs of equipment, materials and labour.

All materials supplied and installed remain the property of Fairfix ltd until paid in full.

If the customer's payment is dishonoured in any way, Fairfix ltd reserves the right to use whatever necessary means to recover full payment and any costs incurred by this company.

The customer shall be liable to pay all costs, fees, disbursements and charges including legal fees and costs reasonably incurred by the client in the recovery of any unpaid invoices regardless of the value of the claim.

A maximum of 3 free return visits will be made during our period of guarantee, which is 1 year for Parts and Labour. All 3 visits will be made during normal working hours. The return visits only apply to the original problem/parts diagnosed, if issues occur for a new or different issue/part then normal fees shall apply and it will be treated as a separate job.
